Business Applications of Weblogs
Paul Andrews writes about corporate weblogs for PR and customer support in the Seattle Times [1]. He notes that weblogs require assiduous care because they quickly grow stale. The importance of PersonalVoice can conflict with disclosing a business weblog's corporate ties.
Chapter 8 of ''We Blog: Publishing Online with Weblogs" [2] is devoted to weblogs in business. Pyra's entree into the weblog business arose because the company started an internal weblog. The software that supported that intranet tool soon become Blogger [3], and its popularity soon overshadowed everything else Pyra did. Includes a discusson of K-Logs (aka "Knowledge Logs") with Userland's John Robb, who hosts a discusson group on klogs [4]. |
